My trip to West Borneo part II

My story in the third day may can make you hungry, what? Why? Because I tried West Borneo culinary that offering all tasty foods, LOL yeah I like this part. Do not underestimate West Borneo culinary, because in this west area of Borneo island we also can find some foods that similar with Chinese cuisines, what are they? Yeah they are a kind of dim sum such as Cha Kwetiaww, Chaii Kuee, and another common traditional Indonesian foods such as meatballs, in China we also can found Cha Kwetiaww easily off course this dim sum originally from China. Why Chinese cuisines come to West Borneo, once upon a time (not in China LOL) so many Chinese exploring Borneo island just for place that they can living in. So their culture influencing native Borneo culture (assimilation) and the native person tried to make some Chinese cuisines, and modern West Borneo Chinese today also make these dim sum as they learned from their ancestor.

I'm not hungry anymore, the dim sum are very tasty then I hope I can enjoy the original ones in China, but do not forget the meatballs, they also have meats on stick called "sate". Well I write this post after ate that meatballs LOL. But unfortunately I can't upload the pictures here, only for my magazine. To be continued to part III.

5 must prepared things in West Borneo trip

Yeah before continuing my first post, I want share about "Five must prepared things in West Borneo trip", this is my own experience in West Borneo trip, so maybe quite different with yours, before arriving West Borneo I prepare first aid kit already, but what kind kind of first aid kit medicine that important for it. Yeah you right first thing is mosquito lotion, this is perfect way to avoid mosquito "attack", because some places in West Borneo have thousand of mosquito, but don't worry it's commonly just in one spot.

The second thing is digital camera, off course you should take some pictures for your collection, and for journalist like me, it's like my second heart, really. What's next thing?

Third is summer cloths, yes especially for foreign tourists who have no experience in tropical country. Because West Borneo is little bit hot so don't wear jacket, you're wasting your suitcase space LOL.

Fourth is boot, you will meet large dirt area, and maybe some beaches that swept twice a week, so don't let your foot hurt because piece of coral.

Fifth is extra money, it means extra real money, I recommend you to change some dollars with rupiahs, and don't rely on your credit card, even most hotels accept credit cards, but you need real money for unpredictable bills.

My trip to West Borneo part I

This is my first post about my trip to West Borneo, Indonesia. Yeah actually I love Borneo island so much, but West Borneo is my main destination, I only have 3 months to write a journal for my travel magazine, and fortunately I have a friend in West Borneo, he is a local guy named Rendy. He accompany me to enjoy West Borneo tourist attractions, yes even I do this trip as a job but I really love this interesting job. So many attractions available there, such as Manggar beach, Lamaru beach, and crocodile captivity as an artificial tourist attraction, but I think crocodile is exotic animal, so it's cool for my journal, I like it.

After lunch, Rendy tells me about another exotic attraction in the area, that's a waterfall called Jelerai Selor, before I arrived to that place, I think this waterfall is an ordinary small waterfall that full of rubbish, but thanks God I was wrong, because this waterfall has beautiful scenery with awesome cliffs and clean water, then I take some pictures of course. I continue to write the journal before evening immediately with my notebook, and then at night I write this blog entry as my online diary to West Borneo.
